Doing this can help you save time by eliminating the step of moving a finished countertop. Take all necessary measurements. Determine the length, width and height of the worktop by measuring the outer edges of the cabinet. Measure the height by calculating how long bench should fit over the cabinet, about 1 1/2 inches, and how long you want it. Determine exact and accurate figures. Wipe away any excess glue from the counter and backsplash. When the glue is dry, clean up. Use a damp cloth to clean the disk. Brush on a waterproof varnish. Examine the installation and let it dry overnight.
