DIY White Reclaimed End Table

Reclaimed end table – A few months ago my daughter changed her bed. She has one of those that grow with her and we opened it completely because she needed more space. And we changed the mattress. The old man was made of pine strips that, obviously, he could not just throw away. To do this, I used a saw and a manual miter saw. No, it’s not a lot of work, and if you really do not do so much DIY to have a good jigsaw at home, it’s a great, fast, cheap and convenient solution for cutting small battens and pieces. You just have to have a little patience. And you make more arms than doing push-ups.
Once I had cut all the slats, it was time to sand. And I tell you the same as before. I have a sander with which I have a love story, but if you do not do much DIY you do not need anything more than a small block of sandpaper. At this particular table, I used some small metal pieces to join the slats. They are like small plates with two holes and I really have no idea what they are called. Remember that in order for the reclaimed end table not to open or crack, it is necessary to make a small hole with the drill first. And remember also that the screws are classified with two numbers.
The first is the thickness, which is linked to the numbers of the drill bits, and the second is the length expressed in millimeters. If you take into account these two data, you will never screw up when it comes to making your projects. Once screwed the painted. I used white chalk paint and ultra-resistant varnish for reclaimed end table. I have two layers of chalk paint and two layers of varnish. For the sanding, I used a very fine, finishing sandpaper. And that’s it. Placed in a corner of the dining room serves to collect my projects, to leave the controls, to put the potatoes when there is a party and it is also my favorite background when I take photos of cocktails.
